Breakfast was good, the room was spacious, and the spa was nice. The lighting in the room was a bit low, making it hard to get adequate light, but the bathroom lighting was fine.

The hotel is surrounded by deer and the room was fantastic, but it only had one bed and a comfortable sofa bed.

The staff were incredibly friendly, even over the phone, and the carpet in the room had been freshly shampooed before we arrived. There were plenty of towels, even at the pool. The Alpaca had been evacuated because of wildfires, which was a terrific call, but a lovely mama deer visited the breakfast room door. The giant covered hot tub was our absolute favorite, and the pool itself was clean and relatively warm compared to many hotel pools. The staff also found and set aside some items my son had left behind and shipped them to us very quickly. We love staying here! The only reason I didn't give all 5 stars on everything was because hotel costs have gone up so significantly, but that has nothing to do with the staff or the hotel itself; it's just how things are these days. I just remember a time when a similar hotel would cost much less.
