The breakfast was good, with eggs cooked fresh. The living room and Honesty Bar were very pleasant. The house was well maintained and the pool was nice for a dip after a day out.

The location is outstanding, blending modern comfort with history and culture. Horses are fully integrated into the property, creating a remarkable atmosphere and peace. The pool is great. Staff were brilliant and amenities well thought out. Breakfast, however, is the same every day and could use more organic and local ingredients.

The site is absolutely gorgeous, with peaceful surroundings, wildlife and a lovingly restored old house filled with fully functional period furniture; the only downside was that the bedroom was hot and there was no way to cool it quickly, but staying only in the room would have meant missing everything else the property offers.

Facilities were great overall: nice pool, relaxing area, beautiful gardens where we picked and ate blackberries. Minor issue: we visited in hot weather and our room was very warm; an AC would have made a big difference.
