The location was fine, but I was shocked to learn there were works after booking; the shower was broken so I had to use another room, TV signal was weak, and the building felt grubby because of the construction.

The pub was closed for renovation, my ground‑floor room forced me to climb to the first floor and back again, the whole property was in major renovation and seemed unsuitable to stay, and the owners warned there were no meal facilities, leaving me with a makes‑do arrangement I hadn't anticipated.
