The location is superb, just a short walk from a grocery shop, cafés, small local shops and only a 10‑minute stroll to Blenheim Palace; the staff are very polite, caring, and helpful; the room was clean and the place overall was tidy, with good shower pressure and a convenient coffee and tea station in the room. However, the buildings are extremely old and neglected inside, a complete disaster; everything feels dated and it’s clear the owners aren’t investing in upkeep; the furniture is awful and should be retired, the walls are cracked, and the floors are so noisy you hear every step and movement from neighbors and across the building; in the morning the kitchen smell drifts into the room, which is very unpleasant; the product care is poor, and the room price is high for this level of quality, which is absolutely not delivered; overall the condition is worse than anything I’ve seen, even compared to antique shops; as a hotelier with 15 years of experience, I was shocked to see a property in this state; the only bright spot is the staff, who are polite, caring, and helpful; I would never recommend this place – just run.
