“Beautiful resort. All aspects exceeded expectations except bar staff on the Lawn and Terrace Bar”

Castle Hill offers a relaxing escape from downtown's hustle, just steps from a state park that lets you hike and unwind near Ocean Drive. Housekeeping, Welcome, Breakfast, and Mansion bar service were exceptional. However, the Lawn and Terrace staff were rude during sunset hours when people gathered in Adirondack chairs, and the bar staff on the lawn and terrace visibly annoyed patrons ordering drinks. Once they realized we were guests, their demeanor changed, but the initial treatment left a poor impression of staff training and supervision around dusk.

“Overall, we found the property delightful and it was very relaxing. We would definitely come back again.”

I loved the beach cottages and spent a lot of time in the lawn chairs. The wait staff could have been friendlier; they didn't round the lawn or dining areas often enough. Bees outside were also annoying while we ate, and the hostess was condescending to my daughter when she asked where the bathrooms were.

Parking was located far from Harbor House, but the staff helped us with our luggage.
