“Convenient location and helpful staff”
The hotel sits conveniently in the central market, making everything reachable. It should install a lift and improve the toilet cleanliness.
“Valuta for pengene”
The breakfast was terrible.
“Goede locatie en vriendelijk personeel, maar slechte hygiëne en beperkt ontbijt”
The location was good, close to the local market, and the staff were very friendly, but the room was not hygienic—cushions were dirty, the walls were really dirty, and the air‑con leaked water. The breakfast was very limited and not varied.
“Twiga Hotel - Tulivu Urban and Golden View Hotel”
I was forced to pay online before checking in. When I arrived, the hotel was fully booked and there were no rooms left, so they sent me to another place called Golden View Hotel, which was poorly maintained, old, and dirty. I couldn’t do much because it was late, raining, and nearby hotels were also full. The next morning I went to complain at Twiga Hotel and asked for a refund for at least the second night. The staff on duty couldn’t handle it; it took hours to reach the manager, who didn’t answer. I left frustrated, sent the manager a video of the room they gave me at the other hotel, and demanded a full refund. Although the booking was finally cancelled and I was refunded, the experience was terrible. Online availability should be suspended once a hotel is fully booked to avoid such inconveniences.
Hi, I'll start with the positives. The hotel is located near the main street with plenty of shops and an ATM opposite. The bus station is about 1 km away. The view from the balcony is nice. Mine was overlooking the city, but the rooms on the other side had a fantastic view of Mount Kilimanjaro. The service was okay, although I have some reservations about the maid. She mopped the floor, and that's it. And that's it. The room was old and worn, the bedding looked like it hadn't been changed, the curtains on the windows seemed never washed, a lot of suffocating dust, and the same with the blanket. One towel for two people. In one room, the fan didn't work, in the other, it only ran at very high speed, and the air conditioning barely worked, with no way to adjust it. Hot water was enough for a shower for one person. There was no kettle to boil water. The internet was very weak and often dropped. The hotel is a multi-story hotel with no elevator. Breakfast consisted of one egg, toast (no toaster), deep-fried cookies, and banana slices. Ginger coffee and tea were available, and there was no milk. The next day, breakfast consisted of one pancake instead of an egg, and the rest was the same. The hotel was cheap, and if you're just looking for a place to stay overnight and move on, it might be okay, but if you plan to stay longer in Moshi, skip it and look for something else.
