It’s very cheap, and the basic facilities are there so it’s not inconvenient. However, something like dust mites in the futon caused me to get bitten in several places when I woke up, and it was quite itchy.

First of all, it’s inexpensive and only a 5‑minute walk to central Kyoto, which was great. There’s a convenience store nearby, and it’s not far from Sannenzaka, which is very nice. The facilities are clean, the bathroom works well, and there’s almost no contact with other people inside the hostel!

I was happy with my first‑floor room, but when I checked my friend’s room downstairs I was surprised by how damp and unclean it was; plus there was trash in front of Peace House that needed to be taken out.
