“Roach motel have low expectations for low price”
The rate was cheap, yet bugs crawled all over the room—“roach motel” really fit the bill. The front desk person didn’t speak English, so checking in took a while. The walls were paper thin, and noise from tenants a few rooms away seeped into my room. I slept on top of the sheets because I was so grossed out by the bugs.
“They were nice at first but became annoying”
The staff kept coming to my room asking me not to smoke, even though I was clearly smoking outside. I don’t smoke in front of my daughter.
The room was unimproved, the carpet was dirty, there were not enough bath linens, and the person in charge when we arrived could not speak English.
