The room is simple but tidy, suitable for one night, and offers good value. The bedding didn’t smell fresh at all and it was very dusty.
Everything was fine, great location, but the bedding had a few stains and there was no window facing outside.

The guest house is clean, comfortable, and well‑situated in Malang. There are plenty of cafés and restaurants within a 5‑10 minute walk, and a Gojek ride costs less than £0.50 if you need to go farther. The staff are very friendly and helpful—they recommended a guide (Nafis) for our Mt Bromo trip, and he was excellent. Soundproofing is pretty good, and this is the first place in Indonesia where we didn’t get disturbed by the sunrise call to prayer. You must pay a 100,000 IDR room deposit in cash, which is refunded on check‑out. We asked for an extra pillow, but the hotel wanted to charge us 20,000 IDR, which was the first time I’ve encountered that in over 50 countries.

The staff were very welcoming and the building sits in a central spot yet far from traffic and chaos, making it a solid value. Unfortunately some rude guests shout loudly and cause a stir in the common areas right in front of the rooms, leave their empty bottles or trash on tables instead of bins, and even leave the cups the hotel kindly provides on those same tables instead of returning them to where they were taken from. These few guests spoil the pleasant relaxation for everyone else.
