The location is excellent. There’s a good variety of breakfast options and free tea time. Because it’s a popular spot for photo shoots, it can inevitably feel a bit crowded and noisy. The crowded atmosphere at the hall entrance when it opens for photo shoots, and guests have limited common area in the compound.

It’s a truly beautiful hotel, entirely in Tibetan style. It was also very clean and located right in the center. The bar on the covered square serves only coffee and tea; you can’t get a drink in the evening and it closes at 21:00, which is a bit disappointing because you can’t use those facilities anymore. Also, I found it a bit expensive for China compared to what you get.

Beautiful, typical wooden structure, spacious rooms with underfloor heating, clean, we felt pampered! The local buffet breakfast is very good and varied! The staff were available for every need, and they even picked us up at the station late at night! Inside the historic center!
