The colonial style and the hosts' attention are fantastic, but the hotel entrance was problematic.

Hotel Cantuña, nestled in Quito’s historic district, sits just 20 m from San Francisco Square. Its baroque‑inspired gilded mouldings, elegant furniture, and vaulted glass‑crowned courtyard create a colonial charm. Spacious Spanish galleries, free Wi‑Fi, and rooms with courtyard views or exposed red brick walls offer unique, plant‑rich décor. A 15‑minute drive reaches the business area, and airport shuttles are available.

A beautiful hotel right in the city center, with elegant and historic furnishings; nothing to complain about.

The staff were super friendly, especially Darwin who even took us around town to show us restaurants. If you love genuine hospitality in the city center without a lot of frills, this place is perfect. I would come back anytime! Nothing to criticize.
