The hotel sits just a stone's throw from the city center, and the on‑site restaurant served a tasty buffet breakfast. The rooms, being old cottages, felt a bit cramped, but the other two‑bedroom apartment was excellent and had all the amenities you could need.

The setting is tranquil yet centrally located near Kodaikanal Lake, and the layout feels surprisingly secluded—great for couples or families, even though the rooms aren’t huge. The duplex layout keeps privacy intact for families, and the price is quite reasonable. Karthi was a fantastic host. The bonfire area, however, can get obnoxiously loud when two people crank up loud Tamil songs, ruining the relaxing atmosphere for anyone who just wants a quiet evening and forcing unwanted music into their ears.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Mango Hill Kodaikanal. The peaceful atmosphere and stunning views from our room made it the perfect spot for a relaxing holiday. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, with special mentions to Miss Saleth, Mr Anees, and Mr Hari for their exceptional hospitality. The food was delicious, and the service was prompt and attentive. We felt completely at home during our stay, and we highly recommend Mango Hill to anyone visiting Kodaikanal.
