The rooms were roomy and the service excellent, truly a 5‑star hotel. The listing was wrong: I booked a suite advertised with a private pool, but there was only one shared pool for everyone. The staff were helpful and offered me a free cancellation for the last two nights. The property is very compact, with most of the space taken up by the building, so unless you’re eating or swimming you’ll mostly stay in your room. There’s practically nothing else to do.

We had a lovely stay at Kinwani House. The first‑floor suite was roomy and comfortable, matching the house’s art‑deco chic style, and it offered a fantastic view of the flower‑filled garden, birds, and Rishikesh. The extensive menu, tasty food, and dining options—most of which we chose on the lawn—made every meal enjoyable. Kinwani House is a great place to unwind, whether you’re exploring the area, using the pool and yoga facilities, or simply breathing in the mountain air on one of the terraces. Its small size makes you feel at home, even if you’re the only guest. Gopal and his team delivered seamless, unobtrusive service. We’d love to come back.
