The place is very clean, the host is very helpful, and the location is great. It’s overpriced for the size, and the toilet cistern should be larger.

The location is excellent! Towels are changed every other day, the bed is made and cleaned daily, and the staff are lovely and attentive. Nothing else to note.

The refurbishment is very good and the limited space is well planned. The bed is comfortable and the shower is great. It can get a bit noisy in the morning with all the scooters from the rental place next door.

I found a little slice of paradise just a few steps from the harbour, and the host was the friendliest and most helpful person I’ve met; I’ll definitely book again! The place isn’t the typical Greek style but feels more luxurious, stylish and cozy at the same time. I only spent one night before heading to Antipaxos, so I can’t say much about Paxos itself, but the location was perfect for catching the water taxis to Antipaxos. The bed was a bit too soft for my taste—though I’m used to a firmer mattress, so it probably isn’t a problem for most people. Just a heads‑up: watch your head when going down the stairs!

Paxos Fairytale Lovenest offered us a prime spot in Gaios, right where the community feels alive, just steps from the seafront, town square, coffee shops, bakery, supermarket, post office, and other local amenities—truly a local experience. The building itself is a charming relic, renovated inside for modern comforts while keeping Paxos’s character. A flight of stairs with bags is required to reach the unit. Inside, beautiful stonework and a very functional layout gave us plenty of space to unpack, store bags, and access the bathroom, shower, and safe. The small kitchenette let my husband brew coffee in the morning, and we used the fridge and dishes for basic drinks and snacks. Outside the front door, a small patio with a pergola served as a common area where my husband enjoyed his nightly cigar and morning coffee, and we could easily grab a glass of wine or pastry from the bakery nearby. The owner was away during our stay, so Androniki (Niki) acted as our hostess, responding via WhatsApp, answering all questions, giving recommendations, helping with money exchange, and arranging laundry services. Each day a housekeeper came by to refresh linens, empty trash, sweep the floor, and tidy the kitchen. If you’re looking for a traditional hotel with a pool, beach, restaurant, or breakfast buffet, this isn’t it, but if you want charm and a local feel that lets you tap into the pulse of Paxos, this place is worth checking out. We did have some communication issues with the owner: he didn’t reach out proactively about check‑in, Wi‑Fi, etc., so I had to initiate contact within 24 hours of our reservation. At checkout, we also didn’t receive instructions on leaving keys, so I had to figure that out too. A misunderstanding about laundry services arose—I thought it was included based on our emails, but the owner’s mention of “laundry accommodation” turned out to mean we’d be charged $30 Euros at checkout. I told Niki this didn’t match my understanding, yet we paid. She kindly came to the port to return the money, only for the owner to message me later that day requesting payment. From my view, it was a miscommunication, likely due to a language barrier. We offered to pay again through a link, but after several back‑and‑forth messages, communication broke down, and it seemed the owner was upset with Niki for trying to return our money, leaving an unpleasant impression. A few logistical tips: there’s a very bright fire alarm light above the door; we had to stand on a chair and cover it with clothing because it really disrupted our sleep the first night. The housekeeper never cleaned our toilet during the stay, which felt unhygienic. The Wi‑Fi was very inconsistent and didn’t work at all during the last 24 hours of our stay, which can be frustrating for travelers relying on it for phones, laptops, ferry reservations, flight info, etc. A small guidebook with local recommendations for restaurants, boat trips, beaches, beach clubs, how to get to Antipaxos, best supermarkets, money exchange, etc., would be very helpful.
