The place is well‑situated. The staff don’t speak English, the gear is very basic, towels and sheets didn’t smell fresh, and the double room had only one chair and a small table. Curtains hadn’t been washed in ages, and the cleaning seemed only superficial. Adjusting the tap was a nightmare – the water would either be hot or cold, and if you tightened it a bit to get cold, the hot would stop flowing.

The venue is very close to the metro. The room is large and spacious, and late check‑in is possible with a key from a locker. The air‑conditioning works well. It’s a solid budget stay for a short visit. The shared bathroom was a disaster: the shower was next to the toilet, and other guests outside were partying, so the noise went on until late at night (we arrived around 22:00).

The location was near the old town and the market, and there was a subway station nearby. The area was still quiet and felt cozy. The host’s communication was brief but straightforward and sufficient. The room, including the beds, was spartan but entirely adequate; for my older body it was a bit too hard to lie down in bed, but we weren’t there to sleep in Sofia, just to see the sights.
