1. The bedsheets were clean. 2. There was a kettle and a fridge in the room. 3. I liked the bedside tables with their bedside lamps, as well as the backlit mirror. 4. Hot water worked very well. 5. The AC was good. 6. I really liked their environmentally-friendly initiatives: drinking water was provided in a reusable glass bottle (instead of plastic bottles), and the same goes for soap/shampoo/shower gel. Well done! 7. The receptionists are friendly and very polite, and they speak English. 1. Whenever I entered any area of the hotel, I was struck by an unpleasant smell. Everywhere has its own smell: in the room (cigarette smoke), in the reception area and in the lift. The last morning it even smelled of cigarette smoke in the hallway, because their customers smoked. 2. Access to the reception was also inconvenient. There is a flight of stairs leading up to it, which can be discouraging if you have heavy luggage (which was my case). I did manage to call the lift from Ground level, but it can't go back down! It was very hard and inconvient to carry my luggage all the way down their stairs. 3. At check-in, I was surprised to be asked to leave my passport at the front desk until checkout. I obviously refused. 4. Upon entering the room, I noticed that no towels were provided. I had to go back to reception and ask. 5. The condition and upkeep of the room itself were also disappointing. I stayed in room 303, and almost everywhere I looked there were signs of poor cleaning and maintenance. Dust is obviously never vacuumed, and there was leftover rubbish from previous guests: many cotton buds, even a condom between the bedside table and the wall. A cigarette butt was left on the floor near the toilet. 6. Mold had formed on the bathroom door. Yet, it is easy to remove it with a brush and some good scrubbing! 7. The toilet seat was loose and unstable, in fact it wasn't fixed to the toilet bowl on one of the sides. 8. The towel shelf was broken. 9. The showerhead had no holder, meaning it had to be held by hand whenever I showered. 10. The bathroom drain was nearly clogged, causing water to drain slowly during showers. 11. The air conditioner’s remote control had black sellotape on it and had visible burn damage from a cigarette. 12. The duvet cover was not a proper duvet cover but simply a bedsheet folded around the duvet, leaving three sides open. 13. Mosquitoes were another issue. It seemed no spraying had been done prior to my arrival
