Andy and his family welcomed us not just as guests but as part of their circle of friends. They’re all musicians and artists, so you’re instantly in the best crew in Yogyakarta. Their suggestions for activities and sights were always spot on. The village where the property sits is famous for its craftsmen, especially potters and basket makers, and there are plenty of great spots nearby. It’s a 15‑minute motorbike ride to the city (easy to grab a Grab or Gojek for a few euros). The houses Andy built are beautiful and comfortable, made from old carved wood pieces repurposed from other buildings. If you want an off‑tourist experience, I highly recommend staying here. We loved everything.

The place is brand‑new and the owner is very lovely and helpful with tips and directions. Bringing people together is the owner’s mission, and we met so many amazing friends and shared food, laughs, stories, and music together. You should stay here! Nothing to complain about.
