I didn’t notice anything particularly good or bad; the place feels dead‑ended, and if you want to eat you have to head to Hilo and then come back, so staying there to sleep is preferable. Nothing else to mention.

The room was spotless, the surroundings quiet and charming. It was about 15 minutes from Hilo and close to many spots, so I’d definitely come back. I can’t think of any negatives.

Unit 1 was fresh and modern, with no roaches or bugs, and the water tasted great. The location was quiet, and the owners answered every request promptly. I appreciated the communal kitchen and the shared coffee and drinks. If you like to sleep past 7 am, you might hear people grinding coffee in the kitchen.
