We were met with a very friendly, warm welcome! The hosts shared stories and their amazing work in South Africa while we enjoyed a delicious homemade diner. The location—right at the memorial gate—was perfect for a self‑drive day in Hluhluwe‑Imfolozi nature reserve; it was a lovely place to stay. We should have stayed longer.

I recently stayed at a hotel that had a convenient location for our trip, but unfortunately, it showed its age in many ways. The air conditioning in one of our rooms didn't work, and we couldn't adjust the temperature or speed because there was no remote control. The shower drained slowly, and some rooms had water while others didn't. To top it off, the fridges in the rooms didn't have ice, and the photos on the website didn't accurately represent the property.

“Very nice, we were just ourselves”

I recently stayed at a hotel that offered the perfect blend of seclusion and convenience. Located just far enough from town to provide some peace and quiet, it was still close enough to get to shops and grab any supplies we needed. The fact that we had a kitchenette and could prepare our own meals was also a nice touch. Overall, we got exactly what we were looking for – a relaxing getaway from the hustle and bustle of town.
