The location was quiet, the view was beautiful, the rooms were nice and the bathrooms were good with occasional hot water. At one point there were 50 beetles in our room all at once, so we switched rooms immediately, and later Yuko, the Japanese owner, offered us another cooler room (but we found the temperature fine, so we didn’t switch again). You can request a yoga lesson at 7 am from a teacher coming from the ashram—great. Nagdev and Ricky were very friendly and helpful, making our stay fantastic! They even arranged a tuk‑tuk to a good doctor and were considerate of my gluten allergy; very kind. When paying, we could pay partly in cash and partly by card (this was our last stay in India, so we could use all our cash), and they really thought of you. Thanks a lot for the delicious food! There is still an Indian co‑owner who made us feel a bit uneasy. At the first meeting he showed us a disturbing video where a dog was thrown off the roof. He also talked in every conversation about fighting with people and how much he loves drinking alcohol, while we’re looking for people who live compassionately and without substances. We saw him beat his own dog hard, which was scary; if you’re an animal lover like us, it’s heartbreaking. For solo travellers: it’s mostly Indians and Japanese who won’t sit with you and speak in their own language, so don’t expect a community—more a place to relax.
