The ryokan felt traditional inside a building that looks fairly modern from the outside, and the service was exactly what you expect from Japanese hospitality. Our large, lovely tatami room accommodated five people, the bathrooms each had their own onsen, and there was a tiny Japanese garden. A restaurant is on site, though we never dined there, and the manager was extremely friendly, even offering spontaneous restaurant recommendations and reservations in town. Nothing was missing—it was perfect, and we’ll gladly return. Thank you very much.
