A few minutes' walk from the temple, the room was large and clean, and it was tidied daily. However, the proximity to the mosque meant noise at 4 am, and the shower had a very low water flow.

The spot sits right on top of Borobudur, away from the usual tourist crowds except for the temple itself. It isn’t very quiet; a loud mosque next door has early‑morning prayers, and you can hear neighbors showering. The shower facilities were a bit poor and had a slight odor. The old room had a comfy bed and did the job I booked—a basic room with no fridge. The amenities were exactly what I expected, nothing more.

The place was clean and comfy, with handy touches like a clothes‑drying rack and plug adapters in the rooms. It sits next to a very loud mosque, so you might be woken, though the soundproofing isn’t bad. If you’re hoping to catch the sunrise, it’s fine.
