The campsite manager was brilliant, but he said he had nothing to do with the tents. Even though I’m an experienced camper, the setup felt more like a basic glamping that it claimed to be. There was electricity nearby, yet nothing was wired into the tents. I had a hot water bottle but struggled to light it to heat water. Tea was available, but no milk or sugar. The freezer box was there, but no freezer blocks. A solar panel existed, yet it didn’t store enough power to charge a phone, and I’m not sure how it works when all tents are in use. Showers were hot, but the overall facilities were rundown; they need to get the basics understood and installed.

Very clean, very comfortable. If I could think of anything, I would have liked a mirror.

The area is beautiful, but a lighter for the gas stove would be useful; if you don’t smoke, you don’t usually need one.

Nice view, good location. The tent is spacious. Facilities are lacking. Unfortunately, at the price point you’re more likely to compare it to a hotel room rather than camping, and it falls a bit short. I didn’t really need a rusty tin bath. I could have done with somewhere to hang wet clothes. I think it may be worth considering some practicalities and necessities.
