The rooms were clean, cozy, and well kept, the reception lady was very sweet, and breakfast was great, but a staff member unlocked and entered my room without knocking while I was on the bed in a towel after a shower, then went into the bathroom and left while chatting with a man outside the door, which was deeply uncomfortable and no apology was offered.

The staff were very helpful, the food was plentiful and tasty, parking was free and easy, and the hotel is a 10‑15 minute drive to the Eden Centre.

We stayed at the Britannia Inn and it was a fantastic experience. The location was amazing, making it super easy to explore the area. The hotel itself was lovely, with a comfortable and nicely presented room that was perfect for our family. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming; arriving late, they even took our food order over the phone beforehand and had everything ready when we got there, which was a thoughtful touch after a long journey and made us feel looked after. The food was really good, with plenty of choice, and everything we had was enjoyable. The room was comfortable and spacious enough for the family, and we all had a relaxing stay. Overall, we had a brilliant time at the Britannia Inn and the kids loved the outside space and play area. We’d happily recommend it to anyone, especially families looking for a comfortable, welcoming hotel in a fantastic location. Nothing was wrong; it was perfect for us.
