How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The room was a bit small because the luggage had to fit in, and the two futons took up a lot of space, limiting our movement. Sleeping on futons was comfortable. The shared bathrooms were very clean. It’s very close to Matsumoto Castle and easy to walk from the station.

The host was very friendly and the place was conveniently near the castle and many restaurants. The photos made it look nicer than it actually is. Staying in a guesthouse was interesting, but the futons were uncomfortable and the walls were so thin that you could hear every conversation of your neighbors as if they were in your room. Our room was next to the toilet, so there was constant noise when others used the restroom, and waking up at 6 am because everyone else was getting ready in the shared space isn’t exactly relaxing.

The location was good and the staff friendly. The bedroom was extremely small, not as clean as typical Japanese standards, noisy—every other guest’s movements, door slams, and conversations were audible, plus constant traffic light beeping. The futon and pillow were uncomfortable. The lounge area was bland and uninviting. I regret this choice; we tried to find alternative accommodation because it was so bad.

The people were very polite and pleasant, the room was clean, and it was comfortable enough for a one‑night stay. It’s close to the castle, and there’s tasty ice cream and a Lawson nearby. I was pleasantly surprised that they provide comfortable yukatas as bathrobes.
