The staff were courteous, the breakfast was excellent and extensive, the rooms were comfortable, the location was great, the gym was solid, and the wellness area with pool and saunas was fantastic.

The décor is tasteful and the rooms are comfortable. The bar cocktails hit the mark, and the restaurant dishes were beautifully presented, flavorful, and inventive. The wait staff were attentive and the massage in the wellness area was very pleasant. However, a false alarm from the fire‑alarm system—apparently the fourth this year—was blamed on a fly, and guests who had been pulled out of bed were left wandering the hotel without direction. Flies seem to be a recurring nuisance: one appeared in a wine glass at the restaurant, another crawled through a meal. A birthday surprise failed because the staff’s clear written and verbal explanations didn’t translate into proper timing or understanding. The front desk staff openly yawned, which felt too obvious; a more discreet approach would have been better. In the thermal area, power‑saving measures made it so dark that from outside it looked closed. It’s a shame, because years ago it was one of my favorite spas, and that can’t be said anymore.

Breakfast and buffet dinners were fantastic. The best part was the staff. Everyone, whether Czech-speaking or local, was very helpful and assisted wherever possible. Thank you.

Breakfast was varied, there was a pool in the hotel and access to the thermal baths included in the price, the hotel is well‑situated on the river with bus stops and a river ferry nearby, and you can quickly reach the train station, making it a good base for exploring all of Saxony.
