We were lucky to stay in this charming guest house, perfectly positioned in a quiet area and within walking distance of the Gadara site. The house is well-equipped, tastefully decorated, and the garden offers a lovely view of the village and surrounding hills. Breakfast was tasty. No trip to Umm Qais is complete without Ahmad’s expert guidance – he’s renowned as the best guide in the area for good reason. In a very reasonable package, we not only learned the formal history but also gained insights from someone who once lived there and later helped preserve it. The stay and the short morning tour with Ahmad were the highlight of our Jordan adventure.

The cottage sits on a quiet street. The terrace provides a stunning view. The place is simple yet comfortable, with a living room, kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The owner lives just across the street and can bring the evening meal (very good, must be ordered in advance). For the price, there is nothing to say.
