The breakfast was really good, and the location was just average.

I’m thrilled we could stay at Tempest on Wanaka; Chris and Lin did everything to make us feel at home. The house is beautifully decorated, the bedroom is huge and cozy, and there are plenty of restaurants within a five‑minute walk. Breakfast featured homemade jams, baked bread, and eggs—thanks so much, and I hope we return one day ❤️.

We had an outstanding stay; the hosts Chris and Lin made us feel so welcome, and the homemade breakfasts were sublime. The place was comfortable and the company great—our favorite stop in NZ.

Chris and Lin are excellent hosts, and the location is a short walk into Wanaka. The breakfasts were delicious and we enjoyed chatting with the hosts about local sites. They went above and beyond with extra touches to keep us comfortable. It’s a true B&B experience, so be prepared to stay in someone’s home; you have full privacy when you need it.
