No cold water in the room, no cups or glasses in the kitchen, no hairdryer, gown or slippers in the room as advertised on the website.

I woke up to a decent breakfast that arrived on schedule, but when I tried to check in, my reservation was cancelled that very day and I only got an email—no phone call. They then shuffled me into another guest house at the last minute, and that place was even farther from my destination than The 29 on St James Guest Lodge, making the whole experience inconvenient and a poor deal for the money.

The location was great and the staff came across as professional and friendly, yet the door kept slamming because it didn’t shut properly; there was a big gap I had to stuff with toilet paper to keep insects out, and even a small snake could slip through that opening.
