“Soggiorno a basso costo ma dovete adattarvi”
I landed in a spot right on the beach and close to everything—shops, restaurants, a market, you name it. The room was roomy, and about 10 km away is the Berenice Club beach, which is great if you like snorkeling and want to see the best coral reef. If you’re looking for a cheap stay, this place offers decent value, but you’ll have to adjust. The hotel feels very Arab and we were the only Europeans, so it’s like a basic three‑star. The staff barely spoke English, not even at reception. Breakfast had a decent spread of savory items but almost no sweets—just one donut that was actually good. Wi‑Fi was non‑existent in the room and weak at reception. The breakfast partner had tables, chairs, and cushions that were dirty and greasy. The beach isn’t equipped and is only frequented by Arabs in their usual dress (you can’t wear a swimsuit). Every day you have to re‑magnetize the key. Right under the windows is a punching ball that makes loud “boom” noises at any time, day or night. Room cleaning was sloppy and they often forgot to replace towels.
