“Perfect base to explore the area and come back to a lovely dinner.”

I was happy with the location and the rooms were simple yet cozy. The meals were great and affordable, and everyone on the staff was super friendly. The only downside was that there was no waitress at dinner, so we had to go to the bar for each order, which was a bit disappointing.

The spot was convenient for exploring Gower, but the accommodation was very basic and the hot water system was unreliable. The food was passable, but the salt and pepper came in plastic pots straight from the supermarket and the sauces were in sachets, which really brought the experience down.

“A lovely relaxing place to stay with beautiful scenery.”

The King's Head sits in a lovely area with plenty of nature and a beautiful coast just a walk away; you’ll need your own transport to see the rest of the surroundings. The rooms are in four‑room blocks, two stories high, in a pretty flowered setting right across from the car park. The staff are helpful and friendly, and there’s a good selection of gluten‑free options. Breakfast offers freshly cooked items on request, and the room’s fridge holds fresh milk. The bed is large and comfortable, there’s ample storage, and we enjoyed a nice sea view. The room we stayed in needed some fixing: bathroom tiles were cracked and had moved, an extended shaving mirror had been removed and the area wasn’t repaired, the fridge was broken so the milk went bad (though they offered to replace it), the shower is over a deep bath which might be difficult for some, and there were cobwebs that needed clearing. Hopefully they’ll do some updates over the winter.

The room was stunning—spacious, bright, and with an amazing sea view. The staff were incredibly friendly and efficient, and the food was top quality, both at breakfast and in the evening (we ate there twice).
