The bed was comfortable and the staff were friendly from a distance, but it got too hot for me without air conditioning. I woke up to a burnt plastic smell from the morning heating, a bad odor from the drain, and everything felt far away.

I'm still trying to process how bad this place was. We've been traveling around Southeast Asia for three months on a tight budget, but nothing could have prepared us for the nightmare that was this hotel. The room reeked of mold, making me feel queasy the entire time we were there. The shower was a rusty disaster, and the cold water was the only option - no warm water at all. We ended up skipping showers for two days just to get out of there.
