The house is very nice. The on‑site parking and lockable bike garage are especially good, and the room is well thought out with enough power outlets for everyone. Our room faced the street, right over the restaurant entrance, so it was very noisy, and because there was no air conditioning we had to keep the windows open to cope with the street noise. We also missed a small fridge and perhaps a kettle, which would be desirable at this price point.

The breakfast was very balanced.

Overall, the hotel was okay. On the second day the room wasn’t cleaned, even though I was at Sussex House for more than five hours during the day.

The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety, the staff were very friendly, the location was very central, and they had reserved parking spots.
