The place sits just a 2‑minute stroll from the stunning Bikan Quarter canal, with cute shops and cafés right outside. The staff were fantastic and very helpful. If you’re thinking of staying on the lower ground floor like I did, the tiny garden outside the window is completely sealed off, so no outsiders can get in. Bonus: there’s an in‑room washing machine! The bedding had a small issue, but the team sorted it out the next day.

The rooms were spacious, clean, and well equipped, each with a sofa that made it easy to relax. The same building housed a tasty breakfast tea‑rice bowl shop and a lively night‑time izakaya, which made for a fun trip. The towel supply was limited to two bath towels and two regular towels per room; I’d have liked separate washbasin, toilet, and face towels. The beverage bottles for tea and coffee were also sparse.

The rooms were spotless, and the courtyard fountain was soothing. Since the rooms weren’t adjacent, we didn’t have to worry about hearing each other’s conversations, which was a relief.

Close to Kurashiki Bikan, a pleasant, quiet, and central location. Everything is thought out in detail, and there’s a good selection of restaurants.

A lovely spot for a couple, and a great base for exploring Kurashiki—everything we needed was nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful.
