“Rustig verblijf”
It’s a small hotel, so you don’t have much trouble with other guests. The reception was calm and a bit reserved. The room was fine, with a fridge and good air conditioning. The bathroom was tidy, though some ants were around and the water pressure was often weak. Breakfast was fine and ample, though we had to toast our own bread, something we weren’t used to on other nights. The pool was good. When the kids went into the pool, the pump of the waterfall and the lights were turned on for us. The accommodation is a bit out of the center of Hiriketiya, but a tuk‑tuk gets you there easily. We could park our tuk‑tuk right opposite the hotel, in the parking spot by their own house. On one double bed there was a very short sheet, so the kids barely fit under it. If you like watching TV, it’s good to know that there was no TV in our room, but we didn’t miss it.
