The lodge is in a great spot and the breakfast is solid, plus the rooms are brand new. Maria is the go‑to person and she’s fantastic. But there’s only her around – no front desk, no maintenance crew – and when my brother‑in‑law ran out of water, it wasn’t fixed until the next morning, which was a real let‑down.

Maria greets you and the place feels peaceful and natural, the room is clean and the breakfast—scrambled eggs and fresh cassava—is a nice touch. The only gripe is that the outdoor areas could use a bit of upgrading for more comfort and better use.

Maria’s warm welcome, the lodge’s private stream, the calm silence, and the breakfast were all great. But the room is super basic, no good ventilation, no screen on the window so you can’t leave it open without mosquitoes, and the fan is barely enough on hot days, making it stuffy. There’s also no clear system for taking out trash, so it piles up until you ask, and a bedside lamp would help.

Right near Lumiar’s center, the view is amazing and it’s a great spot to unwind. Maria is super friendly and attentive, and the breakfast is delicious.

The host greets you warmly and the lodge sits in lush nature with birdsong and a stream in the background. The breakfast is all tasty. The only downside is that the rooms are cold and damp; a heater would make it more comfortable.
