The breakfast was fine. The trash bin hadn’t been emptied when we arrived, and our own garbage wasn’t taken away. The TV didn’t work, the room was stuffy and smelled odd, hooks and lampshades were loose or missing, the elevator was broken, we booked a double bed but received two single beds, and there were billing problems.

At 4 am the night was over because the door felt like cardboard and every step and word from the hallway was audible; the room doors also slammed loudly in the middle of the night. When I mentioned the issue the next morning at reception, the receptionist was extremely unfriendly and told me I should have reported it immediately, saying I just got unlucky.

The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and large, and it was only a 10‑minute walk to the center. The staff were a bit cold, which is just the German way, and the prices were somewhat high.

The stay was very pleasant thanks to friendly staff, a quiet area, a large room with a great‑sized bathroom, and the S‑bahn nearby. I really liked the room, especially the small balcony and proper shutters; it was definitely worth the price. The location was a bit far from the city center on foot, even though it’s walkable. The toilet flush had to be adjusted to stop the water, but overall it was a nice stay.
