The room was small but well‑designed with a tasteful, classic feel. The shower faucet was a bit loose and made it hard to direct the water.

Hotel Pantalon, located in Venice's university area, boasts a rooftop terrace with views of the Frari Church. Its rooms feature parquet floors, Murano glass chandeliers, and wood beams. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi, private bathrooms with hairdryers, and proximity to San Pantalon Church, Peggy Guggenheim Collection, and the S. Toma water-bus stop in the Dorsoduro neighbourhood.

The location is truly great—central but not in the busy San Marco or Rialto area. The staff are welcoming and very kind. The air conditioning works perfectly. The bed is comfortable and clean. Unfortunately, the building is old, as seen from the worn carpet on the stairs. In the bathroom, the shower tray has no curtain, so everything gets wet. The towel hook is rusted, and all the plumbing fixtures are old and mineral‑laden. Each day I had to point out missing items among the towel, washcloth, and mat; there is no bidet towel. The furniture is old. A power outlet next to the bed tripped the circuit when I plugged in my charger, and I saw a spark inside. The TV only tunes to Rai and not all channels. Overall, the upkeep feels neglected.

Good, very good. Nothing else.

The location is fine. The place is dirty, old, and ridiculously expensive for what you get. Checkout is at 11 am, but at 10 am the door was opened without permission. The worst accommodation I’ve ever stayed in.

The staff were very pleasant! The room was very small. Without a map I couldn’t find my way; I kept getting lost. To reach the northern part of the island you have to take a long detour to cross the Rialto Bridge.
