The spot is just around Registan square with good nearby restaurants. Breakfast is excellent, staff are helpful, and the room is spacious and comfortable. The Wi‑Fi can be slow at times but still works.

The only bright spot was the location right next to the Registan, and the room was spacious enough for two. The building feels old and rundown; the bathroom smelled like sewers so we had to keep the windows open all day. Tiles were missing from the bathroom wall, the shower door was half‑broken and didn’t close properly, and the mirror was cracked on the sides. Breakfast was awful—cold items that seemed reused, little variety, and the terrace shown in photos turned out to be a basement with no view, though a picture of the Registan hangs on the wall. Staff were noticeably indifferent, and on a couple of occasions we asked for something and it was clear they didn’t want to help. The terrace that appears in pictures is barely used, as if they’re planning to set up a bar but haven’t finished. Bottom line: don’t go.

The location is simply perfect—right on the Registan. Whether you head to the “Russian” New Town or the big gardens up north, everything is within walking distance. The reception staff’s willingness to help was limited. When I asked the employee to book a train ticket from Samarkand to Tashkent for under 10 €, he tried to upsell me a 95 € taxi instead.

The manager was willing to change my room or cancel the rest of my stay; I chose cancellation and it was accepted without argument. The ground‑floor room didn’t match the description or photos—there was no city view, just walls 30 cm from the window. Cleaning was shallow, and I couldn’t pay by credit card even though the property’s terms say cash isn’t accepted.

Top-notch breakfast, best breakfast in our trip through Uzbekistan with lots of fresh food. Excellent location next to Registan. Staff were friendly and professional. The room was larger than anticipated in the photos. The bed mattresses were quite hard. The shower fixture was detached from the shower wall and water pressure for the shower was low
