Lila Lodge, Villa - Bentota

This was by far the nicest place we stayed in three weeks of traveling around Sri Lanka. The rooms were absolutely beautiful, spotless, and had everything you could need (including cups of tea and biscuits!), I've never been so excited to see so many towels and the showers are hot, the air conditioning works well and the bed was really comfy. The surroundings are beautiful and it's easy to get to the beach. The hosts are somehow able to arrange everything you could ever need, I visited Lunuganga within hours of arriving which was beautiful and then spent a lovely morning doing a private river boat tour for a very fair price considering I was the only one on the trip. Breakfast is plentiful and the coffee is delicious. Wish I had found this place sooner as I could have stayed there for a long time!

“Hosts were very knowledgeable of the local area and they were very helpful.”

The breakfast was amazing and plenty—more than enough for everyone. The location sits in a quiet spot yet is just a short walk from the beach and restaurants. We stayed in an upstairs bedroom with a balcony, where we could watch birds and monkeys playing in the trees—a lovely sight. Daggi was brilliant at arranging a tuk‑tuk for us to go to the beach, and it was free. Anthea made sure our room stayed spotless, changing towels and making the bed daily. The house is new and built to a high standard; the décor is tasteful and makes you feel very welcome. I would highly recommend it and can’t wait to return. I have no negative comments about Lila Lodge.

“Wonderful stay at a beautiful property”

The room was incredibly comfortable with a cozy bed and great amenities. The entire area was spotless, and the attention to cleanliness was exceptional. Breakfast was amazing; thanks to Dagi and Anthea for delivering such exceptional service throughout my stay—they remembered my favorite juice and always greeted me with a smile. I will definitely come back!

“Excellent”

The hotel is new, the rooms, furnishings, and equipment are all fresh and clean, and the staff are very enthusiastic and hospitable. The hotel is about a 10‑minute walk to the beach. I stayed here for one night this time; if I come back, I’ll definitely choose this place again.
