The host was truly lovely and made the experience enjoyable.
“Decent, quiet place to stay with excellent owners.”
The owners are very kind and helpful, and there’s a laundry service for a fee. The location is decent, just a 5‑minute walk from Akado Shogakkomae station on the NT Line, and it feels much more residential. The room was incredibly small and tight, even by Japanese standards, and the shower only provided warm water—no hot water at all. The common area was a bit limited and always busy.
The place had a homey atmosphere that let me relax. However, the surrounding streets were narrow lanes with many one‑way roads, so I got a little lost trying to get there.
“また泊まりたいです。”
The surroundings were great and the guest house was very clean. The owner and wife gave off a bright, warm vibe that made me feel secure. I didn’t have much time before departure, so we didn’t chat much, but next time I’ll sit down and talk with the two of them. Marukawajima and machiya were within walking distance, and I stopped by several delicious machiya restaurants.
The hosts were friendly, but the shared shower and toilet facilities were a drawback.
