I stayed at a great hotel just a 20‑minute walk from the train station, right at the end of Heidelberg’s main pedestrian path, which was super handy. The quiet street helped me sleep well. Even though there’s no air‑conditioning, a fan was supplied and worked perfectly. The rooms were tidy and modern. The front‑desk staff, a gentleman and a lady, were very friendly, making the whole stay enjoyable.

The hotel sits right on a very noisy street but is only a short walk from the lively old town, and the room came with a shutter, a tidy bathroom stocked with more than enough towels, a safe, decent space, a mini‑fridge, chairs and a little sofa. It was reasonably clean, and the two single beds placed together made for an excellent night’s sleep. Breakfast was decent with a wide range of spreads and fresh fruit, and private parking could be arranged for €15 per day. A few spots gathered dust here and there, so it could be a bit better.

We were upgraded from the booked single room to a double, and the owner has clearly reinvested in the rooms, especially the newly renovated bathroom. The place is bike‑friendly and serves a very good breakfast that can be enjoyed in the courtyard when the weather is nice. However, there is no wheelchair access and no lift, which could be an issue for guests with disabilities, though it didn’t affect our group.
