The value for money was excellent, the room was huge, and there were plenty of parking spaces. The train station with the S‑bahn to Berlin was only a 5‑minute drive away. At the front desk no one was present, so before 16:00 h I had to use the “machine” for check‑in. The same happened the next day when I checked out; I’m not sure if I did everything correctly, but there were no complaints afterward. Only the room rate was charged twice, which was immediately corrected and cancelled after I reported it.

Everything was super.

The hotel was tidy and surrounded by a pleasant park, and my room was spacious and clean, though a few dark hairs ended up in the bed. I felt uneasy because when my family arrived in the evening, no one was at reception, and there was no one to warn the other guests—who were all men of colour—about smoking directly outside our window late at night. Cameras were positioned around the hotel, so the staff must have known about the issue. The printed information only gave an email address, no phone number. We couldn’t ventilate the room properly because people were smoking under the window, leaving a strange odor that likely came from the lack of airflow. Additionally, high‑voltage power lines ran very close to the windows.
