The hostel is excellent, with clean facilities and comfortable beds. It’s easy to reach by bus or taxi from Xining railway station, which is cheap. There are many dining options nearby and places to buy groceries or fruit. Bus fare is only Rmb 1. The lady host is kind and helpful; she organized a day trip to Qinghai Lake and the Caka Salt Lakes. You can also visit Kunbon Monastery on your own – the bus takes about an hour, and you get there from the station next to the railway. All was great.

The staff were very helpful, but there was a toilet smell in the room.

A wonderful place to stay, furnished with great care. I received a very warm welcome, and when I asked, I was immediately provided with a table and chair in my room so I could work. The landlady was very friendly; she even took excellent care of me when I had clearly eaten something that didn't agree with me. I would like to take this opportunity to thank her again for her exceptional hospitality and assistance.

Absolutely amazing quiet place! No crowd. Very helpful and friendly owner and staff! Great value for that little money (for the same money I was offered single room instead of dormitory!) Comfy bed. Definitely my choice for future XiNing visits!
