The location was good, but the toilets and showers were 150 metres away and our toilet broke during the night, soaking a bag of clean clothes.

The place was perfectly secluded, the bathroom was comfortable and clean, and everything was flawless.

Everything matched the description: the barrel was cosy and warm, the setting was breathtaking with rolling hills, forests, the Atlantic, and a sky full of stars, and the bed was very comfortable (just hang a towel over the window if you leave it open at night). The downside was the washroom/toilet combo: the water didn’t drain properly, so after neighbours showered there was a big slippery puddle in the corner and I slipped when getting off the toilet (luckily I landed back on the seat). The kitchen had plenty of utensils, but the fridge was too small for two people.

The dark skies were lovely, the spot was nice, and the hosts’ instructions were spot‑on, but the firepit couldn’t be used because of understandable concerns about dry grass.

It was so peaceful with an amazing view, the accommodation was impeccable and I slept better than ever, but I only stayed one night instead of two because I forgot my medication.
