How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The location was convenient, but the linens had stains and odors, and the listing didn’t clearly state that it was shared housing with seven other rooms, plus the room was poorly insulated.

Overall the apartment and kitchen were fine and the neighborhood was lively and close to town centre, but some roommates were noisy with traffic and the building smelled of cannabis, so I’d pick co‑habitants more carefully.

I waited more than two hours in the rain because the keypad was inactive, and when the staff finally arrived I learned my booked room was occupied by another guest; the room was hastily cleaned, the bathroom was dirty, and I was disappointed.

The place was near good bus and tube links, but it turned out to be a classic bait‑and‑switch: not a guest house at all, uncomfortable, and far pricier than the photos suggested. The online pictures looked nicer; I’d read the Google reviews before booking. The host couldn’t speak English, making check‑in frustrating. The house felt like a furnace with no airflow because no one was there to ventilate; a heat wave left only a fan, and the ground‑floor window opened onto bins, unsafe at night. Towels were disposable and unprofessional, the room wasn’t tidied, sheets looked ripped from a bin bag and were wrinkled, the mattress and pillows were ruined and needed replacement, there was no working lamp, and the shower stall stayed flooded after a few minutes of use for three nights. I warned them before I left, but they never responded. The kitchen was slightly grimy, not as neat as the photos; I found a paper cup in the cupboard because I didn’t want to use the glasses. I expected a higher standard and left early on checkout day to wait at the train station.

The area is decent and close to the bus stop heading to central London, yet the pillow stank and the room was quite dirty.
