“Besser nicht in der Regenzeit”

A beautiful property right in the green, offering a holiday feel. The outdoor kitchen was great and well equipped. The beach, restaurants, and supermarket were within walking distance. Oscar, the on‑site manager, tried hard to make the stay as pleasant as possible. We visited during the rainy season; because the windows are only screened and not glazed, everything—from toilet paper to curtains to the mattress—became damp and clammy. A musty smell eventually developed. When it didn’t rain for a day, it got better. Otherwise a great place, but the moisture almost made us cancel.

The property was tucked into the jungle, giving a unique experience. There was a lovely, sweet cat named Rusco who kept me company. Unfortunately, the cabins had no windows, only screens with countless holes letting in mosquitoes, insects, geckos, and cockroaches. Towels should be changed more often because they never dried due to the humidity.

“Horrible el descanso”

The room was 7 m² with a mosquito net and two beach towels as curtains, letting in light from 5 a.m. The metal sheet roof was a nightmare; the noise from the sheets was insane. I wish they’d shut this place down as a vacation spot.

“For nature lovers (and cat lovers)”

We liked how close it was to nature and the amazing sounds around; we even made a friend in the local cat Rusco (probably because we had a kitchen in our cabin and milk in the fridge). The room was adequate and the kitchen was well‑equipped, so we could cook ourselves and then enjoy evenings on the terrace. We had privacy even though other cabins were right next to ours, thanks to all the flowers and trees that blocked the view so we could sit on the terrace undisturbed. The towels were changed, but the room was not cleaned at all during our 4‑day stay and was not very clean when we arrived—the floor was quite dirty, turning our feet black from the bottom. I think the lack of cleaning was because of the aesthetics and the “feeling of being in nature,” but it would have been great to have air‑conditioning or an extra fan since it was super humid and all our clothes (even the previously dry and clean) got wet and it was impossible to dry them. The room was also quite dark with poor lighting, making it hard to read inside or even search for anything in our luggage. We would also have liked the manager to be nicer and more welcoming, as he seemed quite unfriendly toward us.

The setting was exceptional; we had a wonderful stay. The noise, vegetation, and animals roaming everywhere all invite contemplation and rest.
