The breakfast was great in a comfortable setting, the room offered a panoramic view of the city with distinctive industrial décor, the staff were excellent and the location was ideal, but the room had some defects: the bathroom door wouldn’t close, the sink was clogged, and the air‑conditioning was very noisy.

The hotel was fabulous, extremely clean, with lovely staff, a great location and amazing breakfast, so I couldn’t fault it at all and would definitely recommend it.

The central location made it very easy to get around Manchester, but the night‑time room service was very poor; all that was available were toasties.
