You can tell a lot of love and thought has been poured into this cosy little lodge. A true embodiment of hospitality with every need catered for. We only stayed one night to break our journey from Aberdeenshire to Worcestershire but would return in a heartbeat. That we weren't staying for longer!

The room was lovely and beautifully decorated, and the location fit my needs perfectly. The hosts were extremely friendly and even went out of their way to send me an invoice after my stay, even though they were on holiday at that time. I did feel a bit let down by the facilities: I expected a small kitchenette with a sink, but instead there was just a shelving unit holding a toaster, microwave and kettle, so I had to wash dishes in the bathroom sink. It wasn't a big deal for a single night, but it would be inconvenient if you stayed longer or with more than one person.

The room was cozy and had extra bits that made it easy to cook a meal in the microwave if needed. The bathroom was spacious, and there were nice touches such as a disposable toothbrush and toothpaste, plus instant porridge that’s perfect for a last‑minute stay—you don’t even have to leave the room. The hosts were lovely and ready to help if you need anything.
