Our room was pretty spacious, but the house sits right on a heavily trafficked street.
The large, tidy rooms on the first floor of the vineyard offered a great view of Hambacher Schloss, and the windows completely absorbed street noise while the blinds darkened the space nicely. Breakfast was a typical continental spread and good, with fresh fruit, tomatoes, sausage, cheese, boiled eggs, and coffee that tasted fine. I sampled the wine and then filled the trunk with it. A rare dry Gewürztraminer was available. The access road is a bit tricky, but after the first day it was no longer a problem. The very busy street at the property boundary is still somewhat annoying.
“Erwartungen übertroffen”
The room was large with a view and the hosts were very friendly. There was nothing negative for us.
The staff were friendly, yet there was no refrigerator in the room.
The landlords were friendly, the room was large and clean, the terrace was lovely and breakfast tasty. There was a good and safe charging spot for e‑bikes. The price‑performance ratio was excellent. The location in the middle of the wine road made it a great base to explore the beautiful region. The wines were very good, and the local spots were quick to reach by e‑bike or car. We especially liked Zeter Berghaus and Gasthof Jägerstübchen. For guests arriving by bike or public transport, Maikammer‑Kirrweiler station is not far away. We felt very comfortable and would gladly return.
